DENVER — The Broncos are on the doorstep of the postseason.
With a 31-13 win over the Colts, Denver is now one win away from clinching the franchise’s first postseason berth since winning Super Bowl 50. The Broncos’ win — coupled with a Miami loss earlier Sunday — has pushed their playoff odds to 94 percent, according to the New York Times.
That doesn’t mean it was easy for the Broncos to get to their ninth win and secure their first winning season since 2016.
The Broncos trailed by six points at halftime and by a field goal heading into the final frame, but they recorded four second-half takeaways and notched a 21-point fourth quarter — which included a 50-yard Nik Bonitto touchdown — to pull away.
Spurred by a Jonathan Taylor fumble at the goal line and a 61-yard Marvin Mims Jr. punt return that set up a go-ahead touchdown, the Broncos found a way to rally for a critical win.
