One of the best PlayStation games of recent years is Ghost of Tsushima, putting you in the shoes of Jin Sakai — a samurai whose goal is to help repel a Mongol invasion. The game puts you into a beautiful open world, and multiple different ways of taking down your opponents.
The Director’s Cut is a PS5-port of the game featuring support for the new console, all the game’s DLC, plus exclusive in-game items and skins. All with $40 off the normal price at Best By.

Normally a new Dualsense controller would set you back $74, but Black Friday sales mean there are some big discounts to be had. In fact it’s possible to get a new DualSense for as little as $54 from various retailers — though our top pick is the PlayStation Direct store.
Why? Because PlayStation seems to have the most choice out of all the retailers. So if you’re after a color that isn’t the standard colors like black or white, this is the place to check. Not all options are available, and prices do vary from color to color, but you can still see every available design on a single store page.

Now is the perfect time to pick up Star Wars Outlaws. Firstly, a major patch has just dropped that asks several fan-requested features, and secondly, the open-world Star Wars adventure has dropped to $39 at Amazon. That’s almost 50% off its full list price of $69.
Described by some as a “Han Solo simulator” you play a curious rebel joining the battle against the Empire across numerous iconic Star Wars locations. Our reviewer, Ryan Epps, labeled it “a quintessential outing in a galaxy far, far away” in his very positive write-up.
Star Wars Outlaws: was $69 now $45 @ Amazon
PSVR 2 has dropped to its lowest price of $349, but don’t buy the headset standalone. Instead, get this PSVR 2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle for the same price. Down from its MSRP of $599, you’re getting the headset, two Sense controllers and the Horizon: Call of the Mountain game. It’s everything you need to start playing in VR.
PSVR 2 (Horizon Bundle): was $599 now $349 @ Amazon
I’ve never been a huge fan of racing games, but Gran Turismo 7 is so eye-poppingly gorgeous that it’s hard not to recommend. And it’s even easier when it’s $40 off. Right now, Gran Turismo 7 is $29 at Best Buy.
In our review, we said, “Gran Turismo 7 is the pinnacle of simulation racing, with a wide array of vehicles, customization options and experiences that both newbies and series veterans will enjoy.”
Gran Turismo 7: was $69 now $29 @ Best Buy
The Sony Inzone H9 is on sale for $199 at Best Buy. That’s a $100 saving on a wireless gaming headset that is fully compatible with both PS5 and PC and as we noted in our review it’s a solid choice for either.
There’s a lot to like about this Sony set of cans including its PS5-inspired design, comfortable fit and it’s cross-platform compatibility. We did find it’s desktop app a little inconsistent, but if you’re planning to use it with a PS5 console that won’t be a problem for you.
Inzone H9 Wireless Headset: was $299 now $199 @ Best Buy
Dead Space was amazing the first time around, and thanks to this faithful remake, it’s now even better. Dead Space Remake is on sale for $19 at Best Buy right now, that’s not quite the lowest price but this new version of the survival horror classic is worth every cent.
In my Dead Space review, “day, and then some. It’s a stunning reimaging of a classic that retains what made its progenitor so special while also improving various aspects that haven’t aged well. Plus, it’s also one of the best-looking and sounding games on modern hardware.”
Dead Space: was $49 now $19 @ Best Buy
Elden Ring was already one of the best games of this current generation, and then the geniuses at FromSoftware only went and made it even better with the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
Now you can get Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree for $51, a 35% discount. This packages together the full base game with the expansion, and is the ultimate way to experience this critically acclaimed action RPG. Just be warned it’s a tough game that will demand a lot of players, but each victory is massively rewarding.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree: was $79 now $51 @ Amazon
I’ve highlighted a few deals on excellent sequels already but when considering follow-ups that you must play on PS5, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is at the top of the list. This superior superhero sequel is on sale for Black Friday. Right now, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is $39 at Best Buy.
Following on from 2018’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Miles Morales, you play as both Spider-Men as they encounter a mystery black symbiote, and also square off with Kraven the Hunter. And even if you don’t care about the story, you just can’t beat zipping around NYC as Spidey.

The PS5’s default black-and-white motif has been dividing opinions since the console launched in November 2020. Personally, I like it, but if you want a change, PS5 Console Covers are on sale at PS Direct.
The discount applies to several hues from Midnight Black to Sterling Silver and you can get Console Covers for the base PS5 (Disc or Digital model), as well as the newer PS5 Slim. My favorite pick has to be the Volcanic Red for $49.
PS5 Console Covers: deals from $44 @ PlayStation Direct
Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 is definitely on my wishlist this holiday season as I missed it when it launched earlier this year, and this Black Friday deal looks like the perfect chance for me to circle back. Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 is on sale for $49 at Amazon, down from $69.
Set in the iconic 40,000 Warhammer world, this is a third-person shooter with big guns and even bigger suits of armor. You play a squad of Space Marines taking on the relentless Tyranid swarm and can recruit up to two of your friends to join on your mission in co-op.

It’s not just retailers like Amazon and Best Buy that are discounting the best PS5 games, over on the PlayStation Store there is also a huge Black Friday sale. This includes discounts on some of the biggest games of the year such as Astro Bot, Helldivers 2 and Stellar Blade, and is your chance to build your digital PS5 game library for less.

God of War Ragnarök is a mighty impressive sequel, and it’s currently more than 50% off at Best Buy’s Black Friday sale. God of War Ragnarök is now just $29, which is a very epic discount!
In his review, Tony Polanco said “God of War Ragnarök is arguably the series’ best entry thanks to its gripping narrative, engaging gameplay and stunning visuals. It is the definition of a “must-have” title.”

Star Wars Jedi Survivor is among the best Star Wars media in years, and it’s a huge upgrade on its predecessor Jedi Fallen Order (Which was already pretty darn great). This cinematic action game is currently $50 off for Black Friday. Get Star Wars Jedi Survivor for $19 at Best Buy. You again play as Jedi rebel Cal Kestis fighting back against the Galactic Empire. Plus, it features just about the cutest droid in the galaxy, BB-8.

The average file size of a PS5 game is slowly creeping up, with some blockbuster titles demanding as much as 150GBs. If your console’s stock storage isn’t getting the job down, you’ll want to invest in an internal SSD, such as the WD_Black SN850X which is now on sale.
The WD_Black SN850X is fully compatible with PS5 and can be installed in just a matter of minutes. If you want more details, I recently tested out the SSD in a PS5 Pro, and you can read about my experience here. But overall, I found it to be a great choice for PS5 owners wanting more hard drive space without sacrificing performance or load times.
WD_Black 2TB SN850X SSD: was $199 now $133 @ Amazon
If you’re looking for an engrossing RPG, Dragon’s Dogma 2 fits the bill perfectly. In this epic fantasy adventure, you set out on a quest to stop a cataclysmic event in a world full of hostile creatures and monsters. Dragon’s Dogma 2 strips away a lot of modern conveniences, such as frequent checkpoints, in the name of keeping players on their toes, but with its Pawn companions you never have to face it’s challenges solo.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: was $69 now $39 @ Amazon
Persona 3 Reload is a ground-up remake of the beloved RPG, and it’s now just $24 at Amazon. This is the perfect game if you enjoyed Persona 5 Royal, and are looking for another mixture between dungeon-crawling and high school social simulation. As this is a Persona game you can expect an unrivaled sense of style and a gripping story packed with memorable characters and shocking twists.
Persona 3 Reload: was $69 now $24 @ Amazon
Anybody who knows me will tell you that I’ve not shut up about Lies of P for over a year at this point. The gothic Soulslike was my personal GOTY for 2023, and after recently starting a third playthrough, I can confirm it’s just as enthralling and satisfying a year on from launch.
This is a game worth paying full price for, so the fact you can now pick it up on sale is a can’t-miss deal. Lies of P is now just $34 at Amazon. If you missed the hype train, it’s a fantasy action RPG inspired by the works of FromSoftware (creators of Dark Souls and Elden Ring), you play a puppet come to life and must explore a hostile world.
Lies of P: was $59 now $34 @ Amazon
If you need a new PS5 pad this Black Friday, head over to PlayStation Direct and you can score a $20 discount on DualSense controllers.
Even better this saving is on DualSense controllers in multiple designs so you could stick with the standard white but why not opt for something more colorful like Chroma Indigo or Galactic Purple? Some of the most funky colors are $5 extra, but I’m happy to spend a little more for a controller that looks the business.
DualSense controller: deals from $54 @ PlayStation Direct
The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vo.1 is an imperfect remaster of the first three entries in the legendary action-stealth series. Fortunately, many of its launch issues have been ironed out, and even if some persist, the quality of the game is undisputed.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 is on sale for $18 at Amazon, that’s more than 50% off. This is one of the best Black Friday PS5 deals I’ve spotted so far. Alongside the first three MGS games, it also includes some bonus materials, and the original Metal Gear and its sequel.
MGS Master Collection Vol.1: was $39 now $18 @ Amazon
Silent Hill 2 ranks as my biggest gaming surprise of 2024 — apologies to developer Bloober Team for my lack of faith. This remake of the survival horror classic is absolutely phenomenal. And now you can pick up this modern take on the beloved horror at a discount. Silent Hill 2 is just $49 at Amazon, an almost 30% discount and the lowest price.
Silent Hill 2: was $69 now $49 @ Amazon
When we’re talking about PlayStation deals on Black Friday there’s only one place to start, and that’s with the PS5 console itself. Last year, the best-selling gaming machine was refreshed with a new slimmer model, and PS5 Slim is on sale now.
Head to Walmart, and you can get a PS5 Slim for $424, down from its MSRP of $499. Alternatively, if you want to spend as little as possible, and don’t need a disc drive, the PS5 Slim (Digital Edition) is $374 at Best Buy. You can’t go wrong with either, but I’d recommend opting for the PS5 Slim with a disc drive, as physical PS5 games are more often discounted, so it’s a money-saver in the long run.
PS5 Slim: was $499 now $424 @ Walmart
