I have covered shopping events for years as a tech reporter for NBC Select, and use Apple product every day. The Apple Watch is one of our favorite smartwatches, and this latest model makes a few improvements over the already-excellent Apple Watch Series 9. The screen is brighter when you look at it off-angle, meaning it’s easier to check the time or a notification when you glance at your wrist without turning the watch to directly face you. It also has new swim features like a depth gauge and water temperature sensor.

Apple iPad (9th Generation)

This 9th generation iPad was discontinued earlier this year, so it’s in short supply and steeply discounted for Black Friday. It can handle tablet basics: scrolling through cooking recipes, streaming TV and video chatting with friends. It lacks the two-sided speakers of newer iPads like the iPad 10th Generation and iPad Air, but it’s the cheapest iPad on the market (for now).

However, they are not noise canceling.
