Matt Gaetz’s wife has broken her silence on her husband withdrawing his bid to be Trump’s attorney general. Ginger Luckey Gaetz (yes, she spells it like that) shared a powerful message to Instagram shortly after her husband announced he no longer wished to be considered for the job.
You hear that? No one loves America more than this guy.
Talk about standing by your man. Gaetz withdrew himself from consideration due to the fact that he is on the brink of major scandal. Despite the fact that he resigned from Congress immediately after receiving his nomination, the House Ethics Committee was still considering releasing its report on Gaetz, who has been accused of, among other things, sexual misconduct with a 17-year-old. Whether or not that gets released is now up to a House vote, but it sure seems like whatever’s in it wouldn’t be becoming of an attorney general.
But there’s no telling Ginger that. For her, this is the end of an era. I can’t tell if she means the brief era when she thought her husband was going to be attorney general or the era of his political career. Maybe she’ll let us know in a stirring memoir called, like, Shades of Ginger or Luckey Be a Lady.
