What will happen
If you didn’t know, the Northwestern offense is one of the worst units in the country. The passing game is ranked No. 120 and things aren’t much better on the ground (116). That all equates to the scoreboard operator falling going on food runs and taking naps when the Wildcats have the ball, with them scoring just 18.6 points per contest.
Oh, and now Northwestern has to try and score against one of the best defenses in the country (No. 2 in points against). I thought the defense would have a bit of a letdown last week against Purdue, but it Pur-didn’t. If the Boilermakers can’t score against Ohio State, I don’t see Northwestern doing so either. Of course, there could be a fluky play or something, but it’s now been over two games since the Buckeye defense has allowed an offensive touchdown and I think that continues on Saturday.
After all, it kind of makes sense that Ohio State would pitch a shutout in a baseball venue, no?
