‘Snow White’ star Rachel Zegler apologizes after post about Trump voters

The real poison apple in “Snow White” may be its star, Rachel Zegler.

The 23-year-old actress who stars in the live-action remake of the classic, said she wished supporters of Donald Trump should “never know peace” — sparking calls for a Disney boycott.

After the backlash, Zegler issued the groveling apology on her Instagram late Thursday.

“I let my emotions get the best of me,” Zegler wrote to her 2.3 million followers on Instagram.

“Hatred and anger have caused us to move further and further away from peace and understanding, and I am sorry I contributed to the negative discourse.”

“This week has been emotional for so many of us but I firmly believe that everyone has the right to their opinion, even when it differs from my own,” she continued.

“I am committed to contributing positively toward a better tomorrow.”

It’s the latest controversy surrounding the “Snow White” film. In her first interviews for the film, Zegler dissed the original, saying the prince is “a guy who literally stalks her.” She suggested Prince Charming could be cut from the new version.

“I just mean that it’s no longer 1937,” Zegler said. “We absolutely wrote a ‘Snow White’ that . . . she’s not going to be saved by the prince, and she’s not going to be dreaming about true love; she’s going to be dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be.”

Then the first behind-the-scenes pictures of the film leaked, showing “seven dwarves” that were men and women of different heights and races. Critics dubbed it, “Snow White and the Seven Politically Correct Companions.”

Disney seemingly changed the film after an outcry, replacing the actors with CGI dwarves.

Zegler also has been an outspoken critic of Israel, tweeting, “And always remember, free Palestine.”

It remains to be seen if any of this will impact “Snow White’s” prospects — the film is slated to be released next year. But conservative firebrand Megyn Kelly said slammed the star’s poorly articulated political takes.

“Hello, Disney! You’re gonna have to redo your film again, because this woman is a pig,” Kelly fumed during her SiriusXM show Thursday.

“You fired Gina Carano for far less than this nonsense,” Kelly said, referring to Disney firing Carano from “The Mandalorian” in 2021 for comparing the treatment of conservatives in contemporary America to the treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany.
